Practicing the Way
A 9-Week Journey Into the Spiritual Rhythms of Jesus
What if following Jesus wasn't about trying harder, but training differently?
Wednesday Evenings | February 18 - April 15 | 6:00 PM | The Assembly, Wetumka
You're Not Alone
You're not alone if you feel spiritually exhausted from trying to "do more" for God. If you feel distracted and hurried, even in your faith. If you feel like you're missing the abundant life Jesus promised. If you feel disconnected from God despite going through the motions. If you're longing for transformation but don't know where to start.
There's another way!
For centuries, followers of Jesus have discovered that transformation doesn't come from willpower—it comes from practice. The same spiritual rhythms that shaped Jesus and the early church are available to us today. This isn't about adding more to your plate; it's about training your heart to naturally follow Jesus.

WHY SPIRITUAL PRACTICES MATTER
"Most of us have been taught that following Jesus is about belief and behavior—what we believe in our heads and how we act. But Jesus offered something deeper: a way of life. The spiritual practices aren't religious obligations; they're training exercises that reshape our desires, heal our hurts, and position us to receive God's transforming grace.
Think of it like physical fitness: you can't try harder to be in shape. You have to train. You practice specific exercises that, over time, transform your body. Spiritual practices work the same way—they train our souls to naturally live in God's kingdom.
This spring, we're not just learning about these practices. We're actually doing them together. Because transformation happens in community, not isolation."

Nope! Just show up with an open heart. We'll provide any materials you need.
Is there a cost?
No cost at all. Meals are provided each week as part of our commitment to you.
Can I bring a friend or family member?

You're welcome here! This course is open to anyone in our community who wants to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
I'm new to faith. Will I be lost?
Not at all. We'll start with the basics and create space for questions. Everyone's at a different place, and that's beautiful.
What's the time commitment outside of Wednesday nights?
Each week includes a practice to try at home. It might be 10-15 minutes a day, but we'll help you make it realistic for your life.
What if I'm skeptical about "spiritual practices"?
Perfect! Bring your questions. These aren't mystical techniques—they're the practical rhythms Jesus himself used. We'll explore them biblically and practically.
