An Update on Our Church Bylaws

Church family,

Our denomination — the Oklahoma Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God — has updated the recommended bylaws that local churches like ours use as our governing document. This is the most significant revision in years, and every affiliated church in the Network is working through these same changes.

Our board and I have been studying these updates together, and I believe they are good, needed, and timely for The Assembly. The document below walks you through what's changing, why it matters, and what stays the same.

This is the beginning of a conversation, not the end of one. We will host information sessions, make the full text of both the old and new bylaws available, and give you at least three weeks with the final draft before any vote.
